He graduated Tulane University Medical School in 1998 with a medical doctorate, completed a residency in Family Medicine in 2001 at the University of California at Davis at David Grant Medical Center, a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2006 at the University of Nevada, and a fellowship in Faculty Development in 2009 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
