Noe Guzman

President, Healing Grove Sports

Noe is from Colima, Mexico and his whole life has centered around sports. Sports taught him many life lessons and built a strong work ethic and character in me. His wife and four children are the reason he works to give back to his community.
He played soccer at De Anza and have 10+ years of coaching experience at YMCA and Mexican American Community Agency (MACSA). At MACSA, he witnessed how sport programs could positively influence low income youth.

Michael Bueno

Volleyball Coach

Born in San Jose, Miguel grew up a middle child in a family of 10. His family played sports almost every afternoon and strongly believes that many life lessons are learned from acquiring a new skill and then doing the new skill in competition.

As a basketball player, he competed 6 years including High School Varsity, Jr. Collage summer leagues, and 1 year of semi-pro developmental leagues.

As a parent of 5 children, he learned to coach his own children’s teams which helped jump start his love and craft for coaching.

His coaching experience includes, 22 years of coaching youth and club basketball, 7 years of 6-12th grade volleyball (2 years of club Volleyball), 4 years of track and field, and 6 years at SJSU 4 Years at Santa Clara University.

Miguel Vargas

Soccer / Futsol Coach

Michael has always had a passion for sports. He love sports and physical education and believes that sports can cause transformation.
He majored in Physical Education at the University of Durango and has more than 10 years of coaching experience.
He was a State and National Champion in Track and Field. He began coaching here in the US at the East Valley Family YMCA where he was the sports coordinator. Michael also coached at MVLA Soccer Club, Sportsplex Soccer, and now Healing Grove Sports.
